I grew up in the small town of Lawton, Iowa, where I first learned the importance of community and the value of hard work. These principles have stayed with me throughout my career in law, influencing how I approach every case and client. After completing my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Iowa in 2002, I continued my journey at the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating with my J.D. in 2005.
One of the highlights of my early career was my internship with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa in Cedar Rapids. This experience gave me valuable insight into the legal system, and I had the chance to work on meaningful cases that impacted people’s lives. This internship cemented my commitment to the law and inspired me to serve my own community.
In 2006, I joined Miller, Miller, Miller PC as an associate, and over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most dedicated professionals in the field. My time with the firm, from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2015 to 2024, allowed me to gain a wealth of experience and deepen my commitment to offering accessible, compassionate legal services.
That same year, my husband Nick and I decided to make Cherokee, Iowa, our home. Since then, we've been raising our two wonderful children here, building our lives in this tight-knit community. My family is at the heart of everything I do, and I bring that sense of commitment and care to my work with each client. I understand the trust it takes to let someone into your life during challenging times, and I aim to meet that trust with respect and understanding.
In my practice, I emphasize clear communication, accessibility, and a tailored approach to each client’s unique needs. I make it a point to stay available, often just a call or text away, ensuring my clients feel supported and informed at every step. I believe in empowering people with knowledge and guiding them with empathy, whether I’m helping someone through a family law matter or providing legal advice for future planning.
Living and working in Cherokee has been a deeply rewarding experience. I’m grateful to serve the community that my family and I are proud to call home.
